Viet Nam was surprisingly fascinating; one of my best trips. It has a family-driven culture, an energetic,welcoming, enterprising 90 million population with 23 million motor scooters making Paris and Rome traffic like a walk in the park, strange and exotic fruits and vegetables, an exciting cuisine, beautiful flowers and arrangements, an obviously long and interesting history and a provocative view of the other side of the Viet Nam war, and good museums , ancient ruins and natural sites and resorts. Cambodia with SIem Reap and the Buddhist Temples at Angkor Wat were as advertised: spectacular.
